Esoteric Student Plays Piano

A little prior to my accidental hand injury I had acquired a piano off of Facebook Marketplace, it is somwthing I've always wanted to own and learn to play.

Literally a few weeks into it, disaster struck via my own stupidity with a bread knife. I cut through to the bone, of my right ring and pinky fingers.

Plastic surgery was required to save them. However, my healing and physiotherapy didn't go smoothly at all and have ceased to function and are stuck solid bent. looks like two claw shaped hooks on said hand.

The piano turned into a book stand as I took a year to try to heal them. But I sought out a lighter keyed keyboard eventually, to use as a rehab tool, and mental health therapy until I could use an actual piano.

My piano is out of tune and has a broken pedal, so that of no use...but since attending local churches I stumbled onto the fact most are open all day and have pianos available to use!

I had a couple lessons as a small child but thats all...I don't know what I am doing, nor do I know chords, nor tunes...I simply make it up, and just play.

The two fingers are a frustration but adds a sort of imperfect flare registering random accidental key hits. I like to think it adds something that isn't easy to replicate without a similar injury to what I have. It hurts quite a lot at times.

I have been told numerous times by people that it's a gift and to use it...and to share it, and I hope it brings some peace to the world.

I don't know where it comes from but it's my therapy tool, and now I have begun to share some of what I record onto the Esoteric Student YouTube channel should anyone like to take a break and listen to something a bit different.

It is all improvisational and unlikely to be able to repeat each peice again.

It is just interpretations of how I feel...

And the Good Lord has provided me with a grand piano to use in His Church houses around the town.

I couldn't play before my injury, or before coming to faith, and I'm hoping to imrpove over time and this is an introduction to this side of me.
